DIY Kitchen Command Center
Must. Get. Organized! Welcome to my new kitchen command center. I made it this week using materials primarily from Dollar Tree. Of course, it was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest (most of my projects are).
Let's do a tour!
1. Calendar. Great for penciling in family events, birthdays, etc. Dollar Tree.
2. My husband's work calendar, listing holidays, etc. Put it on a Dollar Tree clipboard that I covered with contact paper.
3. Decor and inspiration all in one cute decal! Found at Dollar Tree.
4. Chalk board. Found at Dollar Tree. It works well with chalk pens. My current message says "when you love what you have, you have everything you need."
5. Cute note pads for jotting down random ideas. Dollar Tree.
6. Pen cup. Ikea. I just stuck a push pin through the wire mesh to attach it to the wall. Easy!
7. Another note pad because, why not? Hung this one from a binder clip so I can take it off the wall easily to do my grocery list. Dollar Tree.
8. Receipt-keeper. Gotta keep track of those tax write off receipts that always seem to get lost. Came in a pack of 2 at Dollar Tree.
9. Meal planning calendar! I can't recommend this enough. I printed out one page for each month. I found the template online at calendarlabs.com. Check it out here. Now, I sit down once a month and pencil in meals for the next 30 days. Not having to make a grocery list AND figure out what recipes to make each week saves me time and energy.
10. What's for dinner? Check the white board. Found at Dollar Tree and added black duck tape to divide it into 7 sections. Now all I have to do is glance over to remind myself what I need to make, and it's easy to change things around with a dry erase pen.
I love this little project! It helps me keep everything important in one place.
